South African and Africa Chapter of IAAO

The South African and Africa Chapter of IAAO was formed in July 2016 to advance the objectives of IAAO in South Africa, by raising the standards of the municipal valuation profession, gaining recognition for the municipal valuation profession, educating the public regarding municipal property rating and administration, and providing a clearing house for the collection and distribution of information beneficial to members and non-members alike. This includes:  facilitating technical support and training in municipal property rates and evaluation, and expanding the awareness and knowledge of municipal property rates, and establishing on-line tools and libraries for advancing candidate valuers and existing registered valuers in improving valuation and rating knowledge.
