Florida Chapter of IAAO
The Florida Chapter of the International Association of Assessing Officers serves as a educational and networking resource for public property appraisers and their staff throughout the state of Florida. Our Mission Statement is “to offer relevant educational opportunities in ad valorem appraisal and administration, and to promote professional development of our members.”
The chapter holds one annual conference per year, in April. The annual business meeting is held along with (3) education tracks in Real and Tangible Property and Exemption Issues at the April Conference. In addition, the chapter sponsors several educational seminars prior to many of its conference and webinars during the year. Continuing Education Credits are available for IAAO, ASA and DOR recertification needs. This chapter was founded in 1987 to help in the advancement of the objectives of the International Association of Assessing Officers (IAAO) in Florida. The FCIAAO is a non-profit learning organization providing educational events for its membership through relevant assessment course offerings and networking opportunities at conferences. Membership is open to anyone, and currently includes individuals working in government and private industry, as well as members of the general public.
