2022 Annual Conference FAQ
Where will the conference take place?
The Annual Conference will take place Aug. 28-31 in Boston and most events of the Annual Conference will take place at the Hynes Convention Center. Preconference workshops will take place at the Sheraton Boston and the Welcome Reception will be at the Marriott Copley Place Hotel.
What is the registration cost?
All conference registration costs will be listed on the registration page of the Conference website
When will registration open?
Registration opened in April for both in-person and a virtual component. Participants may register online
or using a paper form
Can I purchase single event tickets?
Additional tickets for the Welcome Reception, Women's Initiative Luncheon, and Closing Banquet are available when registering. Additional other single meal function tickets are available by contacting Rachel Mense at email@example.com

What if I cannot attend the in-person conference, will there be an option to attend virtually?
Yes, for 2022 we are offering a Virtual Conference Registration as an option for our Members.
What sessions will be in the virtual component?
Check the virtual component page
for list of sessions.
Can in-person attendees access the virtual sessions?
In-person attendees can attend the sessions selected for the virtual component but will not have access to video recordings.
How many CEUs will be available during the in-person conference? How many CEUs are available during the virtual conference?
Many of the conference details are still being finalized, but there are 12.5 hours of CEUs available during the in-person conference and 11.5 hours of CEUs available to virtual attendees. An additional eight hours are available in preconference workshops.
What is the registration cancelation policy?
Requests for refunds will be honored, less a $150 processing fee, only if received in writing by July 30, 2022. No refunds will be made after July 30, 2022. Substitutions are allowed with a $50 processing fee (this includes on-site transfers). Registrations ARE transferrable between in-person and in-person registrations and virtual and virtual registration for $50 but not between in-person and virtual registrations.
Getting to the hotels
Boston Logan Airport is the closest airport and information on transportation is available from the Massport website
. IAAO does not provide transportation from the airports to the hotel.
What is the attire for the conference?
Sports coats or business casual for Welcome Reception and business casual for educational sessions. Evening wear or formal wear have traditionally been worn at the Closing Banquet.
