This course is a "live online" course (online sessions with a live instructor) with a "ProctorFree" exam. You will need a built-in or external webcam, a quiet/private environment, and a reliable internet connection.
Also required is a photo I.D., calculator, and scratch paper. You will be asked to show these items at the start of your exam.
The dates of this class are March 1, 2, 3, and 4th, 2021 and the sessions are from 9AM CDT to 6PM Central.
The exam block is March 5-10, 2021.
This course provides an introduction to mass appraisal and is a prerequisite for the IAAO 300-level course series. Topics covered include single-property appraisal versus mass appraisal, components of a mass appraisal system, data requirements and analysis, introduction to statistics, use of assessment ratio studies in mass appraisal, modeling of the three approaches to value, and selection of a mass appraisal system.
