Robert Foreman is the IAAO’s Learning Content Editor. Prior to joining the organization in January 2026, he was a freelance editor and writer, while raising his two children in Kansas City’s northland.
Robert earned a PhD in English at the University of Missouri, a master’s degree at Ohio University, and his bachelor’s degree at West Virginia University. For four years, he was an Assistant Professor of English at Rhode Island College.
Robert is the author of three books. Many of his essays and short stories have been published in literary magazines, and he has won awards that include a Pushcart Prize, the Willow Springs Fiction Prize, the Nilsen Prize for a First Novel, and the Robert and Adele Schiff Prose Prize.
