Elizabeth Ferguson is the director of library services at the IAAO’s Paul V. Corusy Memorial Library. She has been with the IAAO since June of 2022.
Elizabeth holds a PhD in Library and Information Management from Emporia State University and a master’s degree in Library Science from the University of Central Missouri. Her research has examined information use in digital environments, social components of knowledge creation, and critical literacy.
Prior to working in libraries, Elizabeth was a public-school educator. Her library programming has been recognized at the state and national levels, and she has held several leadership positions across the region and state.
Elizabeth is a lifelong Midwesterner and Kansas City native, and she and her husband share a passion for travel. She spends most of her free time reading, running, or reading while running.
