GIS/Valuation Technologies Conference

The 2027 GIS/Valuation Technologies Conference will take place February 22 – 25, in Louisville, Kentucky.

The IAAO and GPN will accept submissions for keynotes, workshops, and presentations until August 14, 2026.

The GIS/Valuation Technologies Conference for professionals in property assessment, tax administration, mapping, and information technology has been the favorite annual event for assessors and GIS professionals who apply technology to make property assessment and tax administration more accurate and efficient for a quarter of a century.

Optional preconference workshops will provide attendees with an opportunity to explore key topics in greater depth. The conference will feature a robust educational program, engaging panel discussions, and numerous opportunities to connect with industry partners and fellow attendees.

The GIS/Valuation Technologies Conference Committee is seeking proposals for education sessions, full and half-day workshops, keynotes, and plenaries. Important Notes:

  • Presentations cannot be sales pitches or commercials. Presentation submissions by industry representatives must include a co-presenter who is a user. The focus must be on education and not selling a product or service. There will be a separate Technology Showcase track for exhibitors and those who do not have a co-presenter.
  • All accepted presenters must submit a PowerPoint slide presentation using the 2027 Conference Slide Template prior to the conference. The template will be distributed to all presenters.
  • To accommodate conference management, presenters are expected to meet deadlines. The conference utilizes a schedule app for the online publication of the event schedule, individual presentations, speaker biographies, exhibitor profiles, attendee networking. Presenters will receive instructions to upload their biographies and engage with the community upon acceptance.
  • Breakout session rooms will be moderated and equipped with a screen, projector, and cables to plug into the presenters’ laptop (it is the responsibility of the presenter to verify their laptop’s compatibility with provided cables).
  • All accepted presenters must register and pay the conference registration fee. Acceptance as a presenter does not register you for the conference — registration fees are required.
