About the Large Jurisdiction Affinity Group

The Large Jurisdiction Affinity Group unites assessors from major counties to share strategies, address challenges, and advance fair, equitable, and innovative property assessment practices.

The Large Jurisdiction Group is a collaborative network of assessors representing some of the nation’s largest counties and municipalities. The group provides a forum for leaders in property assessment to share strategies, exchange best practices, and address the unique challenges that come with managing assessments in large, complex jurisdictions. Members come together to discuss emerging trends, including housing affordability, equitable assessments, technology innovations, fraud prevention, and evolving community needs.

By working together, the Large Jurisdiction Group strengthens professional connections, informs policy discussions, and supports fair and transparent property valuation practices across diverse and rapidly changing markets.

This has been a group that has been gathering independently for around 10 years, and the new structure formalizes the group and all of its hard work.
