Christina Gragg, AAS, serves as Training Coordinator for the Tennessee Comptroller of the Treasury, where she leads the development, coordination, and delivery of a statewide education program for property assessment professionals. In this role, she manages a high-volume training schedule, administers the Assessment Certification and Education program, coordinates instructors, and supports assessors and staff across Tennessee.
She also teaches state coursework, including DPA Appraisal Fundamentals, and contributes to the ongoing improvement of training systems and delivery methods. Her work consistently bridges policy, practice, and education ensuring that standards are not only well-defined, but also effectively implemented.
With over 20 years of experience in the assessment field, including prior service as a Deputy Assessor, Christina brings both practical field knowledge and instructional expertise to her work.
Christina has been an active IAAO member since 2016 and has completed extensive IAAO coursework. She currently serves on the Education Committee and has served on the Membership Recognition Task Force. At the chapter level, she has demonstrated sustained leadership through the Tennessee Chapter of the International Association of Assessing Officers, serving as Vice President, President, and now Past President.
Her professional focus is advancing assessment education and strengthening the profession through clear standards, effective governance, and practical application. She is particularly passionate about improving the clarity, accessibility, and real-world relevance of educational materials so that the field of property assessments is recognized as a deliberate and respected career path rather than an “accidental profession.” She also values the role strong policies and bylaws play in supporting transparency, consistency, and long-term organizational success.
If elected, Christina will advocate for modernized, high-quality education, thoughtful governance, increased international engagement, and expanded networking opportunities that connect professionals across jurisdictions.
