The Women’s Initiative Network affinity group brings together individuals in our organization, both women and men, to address issues related to gender bias and work towards positive change. The group works to engage and connect IAAO members across a variety of interests and identities.
All members of the groups must feel valued, respected, and visible. A strong desire for progress is of utmost significance to individuals hailing from marginalized communities. Women’s initiatives can tackle issues such as comprehensive policies, effective counseling, social support, education and cultural adjustments to transform life into positive change and growth.
WIN annually offers a WIN Luncheon with guest speaker(s) at the IAAO Annual Conference, and also hosts WIN’ing Conversation video calls several times during the year to review topics of interest. Past conversation topics have covered: strength and influence, understanding emotional EQ, working better together, and getting organized.
