Friday is deadline to submit workshop, presentation proposals for GIS/Valuation Technologies Conference, April 3-6 in Las Vegas

Proposals for workshops, presentations, and keynote for the GIS/Valuation Technologies Conference, April 3-6 will be accepted through Friday, Dec. 9.

The Urban and Regional Information Systems Association (URISA) and the International Association of Assessing Officers (IAAO) partner each year to offer the conference to review the importance of data and the analysis of location information for better decision-making within a jurisdiction.

The GIS/Valuation Technologies Conference, set for the Westgate Las Vegas Resort, has been the favorite annual event for Assessors and GIS professionals who apply technology to make property assessment and tax administration more accurate and efficient for a quarter of a century. Optional workshops are planned and will provide deep-dives into a number of important topics. The conference will feature an abundance of educational sessions, panel discussions, and opportunities to connect with partners and fellow attendees.GIS19_2351256.png

Conference workshops are scheduled on Monday, April 3 and programs start on Tuesday. The exhibit hall will be open Tuesday and Wednesday and the meeting closes at noon on Thursday, April 6.  Additional details on programs and registration will be announced soon.

The educational program is developed through a peer review of submissions received. The members of the GIS/Valuation Technologies Conference Committee spend countless hours reviewing, debating and discussing submissions.

More information and suggested topics are available online at www.iaao.org/giscall23 or www.urisa.org/valtech.
