For Board of Directors - Region 2

Greg McHenry

R. LANE PARTRIDGE

Assessor, Town of Concord, Massachusetts

I would like the opportunity to represent you on the IAAO Executive Board.

If elected I would have two main goals. The first would be to make sure all IAAO courses are up to date and accessible to all IAAO members. I am an in-state Instructor and have taken most of the IAAO courses offered on real property and assessing.

The second would be to expand mentoring of new participants to our profession and to work with colleges and universities to produce programs in assessing. We need to stop the accidental profession and make it a recognized industry everywhere.

I have been very active locally here in Massachusetts at the state and local levels. I have been president and served on the board of directors of two county assessing organizations, the state organization and am currently the president of the local chapter of IAAO.

I have served at the state level as chairman of the Legislative Committee and have had many interactions with members of our legislature. I also served on the Policy Review Committee, which interacts with the Department of Revenue. Here in Massachusetts the DOR is the regulator of assessing departments throughout the state.

I have been in the real estate industry since 1984, first as a real estate appraiser and then as a full-time assessor.

I have taken education classes from the Society of Real Estate Appraisers, The Appraisal Institute, the Massachusetts Board of Real Estate Appraiser, MAAO, and of course, IAAO.

I am a graduate of Northeastern University here in Boston and I have a Masters Certificate in Public Administration from Suffolk University. I am a CAE candidate and I hold a Certified General Real Estate Appraisal License from Massachusetts, number 935.

Please consider me when it is time to vote.
