General Statement
From the ground-up, I have been involved in every aspect of an assessment/appraisal office. Learning is my motivation.

I set goals to advance my own knowledge as well as that of my staff, by using technology, incorporating new techniques and enabling accessibility to professional development opportunities.

My commitment is to support members in achieving success!

Professional Experience
My appraisal career began as a clerk in 1982. Through education and work, I advanced to become Executive Director/Chief Appraiser of the El Paso Central Appraisal District in 2009. My responsibility to maintain fair and equitable valuations and exemption information of El Paso County’s 420,000+ parcels and provide appraisal
service for 38 taxing entities is achieved under the requirements of the Texas Property Tax Code, Uniform Standards of Professional Appraisal Practices (USPAP), and the Certificate of Excellence in Assessment Administration (CEAA) Standards.

I am a State of Texas approved instructor for Texas Property Tax Professional required courses: Ethics, Business Personal Property; Analyzing and Understanding Appraisals; and Level Reviews.

I serve as an IAAO CEAA mentor and I have participated as a session moderator at association conferences.

Professional Involvement/Leadership
IAAO Member; Texas Association of Assessing Officers (TAAO): Past President El Paso Chapter; Texas Association of Appraisal Districts (TAAD): President, President Elect, Vice-President, Treasurer; TAAD / IAAO Chapter: Member; Metropolitan Council of Appraisal Districts (METRO): Past Chairperson.
