The GIS/Valuation Technologies Conference, the annual top technology event for assessors and GIS professionals, is fast approaching. Tuesday, Feb. 22 is the deadline to reserve a hotel room in the conference block.

The conference, March 27-30 at the Hilton New Orleans Riverside, will feature an abundance of educational sessions, panel discussions, and opportunities to connect with partners and industry peers. Optional workshops will provide deep dives into important topics (attendance at one workshop is included with full registration).

Alesandrini_Pat22_2137731.jpg"The GIS/Valuation Technologies Conference has been extremely beneficial to my career in mass appraisal. The presentations at this conference are significant and often provide a more sophisticated or detailed approach to what we do. This is a conference that is aimed at the people in the trenches and expands their minds of how to perform necessary procedures in the office. Maybe just as important as the sessions are the conversations and relationships that can be developed with other practitioners. Letting staff be exposed to and learning the importance of geospatial analysis of data, advanced appraisal techniques, and even simple, yet important, mass appraisal procedures can all be achieved in one place. It is sure to bring back a very good return on investment "
IAAO President-Elect
Patrick Alesandrini, CAE, RES

In addition to the featured keynote by Jack Dangermond of Esri, and presentation by Dr. John C. Finn, Ph.D. of Christopher Newport University on "Geography of Segregation in the 21st Century," Water Wise Gulf South will review ways to advance green infrastructure.
