IAAO Annual Conference update
The IAAO Annual Conference, Aug. 29 - Sept. 1, is the premier platform to share successes, discover best practices, and learn about the latest research in the field of property appraisal. More than 70 sessions will be offered at the in-person conference, and the virtual conference component will include access to a select number of education sessions, networking, exhibitors/sponsors, and more.
 
Online registration closes Friday, Aug. 13
Online registration for the Annual Conference closes on Friday, Aug. 13, and in-person registration fees are $770 for members and $970 for nonmembers. Onsite registration fees will be $895 for members and $1,095 for nonmembers. Registration fees for the virtual component are $545 for members and $795 for nonmembers.

For attendees traveling to the conference, the city of Chicago recently updated their travel order. On vaccinations, studies indicate that even a single dose reduces the rate of infection compared to those who are not vaccinated.
 
Hotel rooms at Hyatt Regency filling up fast
The Annual Conference will take place at the Hyatt Regency Chicago, Hyatt_Chicago_1978945.PNGand the hotel will continue to accept reservations at the IAAO contracted rate as long as rooms are available.  A one-night deposit of room and tax is required to hold the room but may be cancelled without penalty up to 48 hours before scheduled arrival. In connection with recent events the hotel has implemented enhanced hygiene and cleanliness measures and full details are available online.
 
Conference golf event set for Aug. 29 at Harborside International
The Illinois Chapter of IAAO has opened registration forGOlf_2021v5_1978939.png a golf outing on Aug. 29 to take place in conjunction with the IAAO Annual Conference. The event will take place on Sunday, Aug. 29 at the Harborside International Golf Center in Chicago, and will kick off with a 7:30 a.m. shotgun start. The entry fee is $100 and registration and additional information is available on the chapter website. There are a limited number of spots available, and registration closes Aug. 20 or earlier if spots are filled.
 
Conference attire
Sports coats or business casual is recommended for the Welcome Reception and business casual is recommended for the educational sessions. Evening wear or formal wear have traditionally been worn at the Closing Banquet.
