Conference attendee list scam warning
As with many larger conferences and trade shows, companies are contacting IAAO Conference attendees and exhibitors, claiming to represent IAAO, offering Conference attendee email lists or industry contact lists.
The IAAO does not sell, rent, or give away membership or attendee email contact information to third parties. No company is authorized to distribute or sell any lists for the event.
Please do not engage with and/or acquire/purchase any list from any company claiming to have use of IAAO Conference attendees or contact information. Responding to these emails (even to “unsubscribe”) confirms that they have reached a valid email address.
Exhibitor List for Official Vendors: IAAO Conference Exhibiting companies’ primary contact information is only given to our official show contractor (Viper) and the event venue (Scotiabank Convention Centre) for ordering purposes for booth materials.
Attendee Mailing List for Sponsors/Exhibitors: Conference exhibitors and sponsors are provided an IAAO Conference attendee list, but this only contains physical mailing addresses – email addresses are not provided.
Other conferences have experience similar issues and have developed lists of firms involved in offering suspect email lists.
