Attend training seminar on appeals preparation, June 7-8 at UNC
The two-day training is designed for attorneys, assessors, and appraisal personnel who want to be better prepared for appeals. The topics will focus on trial ethics, depositions, preparing the assessment mega case, review appraisers and rebuttal witnesses, and trial mechanics. The seminar will feature a mock trial on an assessment appeal of a hotel property valuation and attendees will hear experts speak, participate in deliberations, and hear panel discussions from various viewpoints regarding the appeal.
Registration
Attendees may register online, or submit a paper form with payment. Fees are $500 for IAAO members and $625 for nonmembers until April 21. After that date fees increase to $550 for members and $700 for nonmembers. For more information on the seminar, see the registration page or you may download the brochure.

The host hotel for the seminar is the Carolina Inn. A historically renowned haven, Carolina Inn is the only hotel on the UNC Chapel Hill campus, and guests are a short walk from all university destinations. To make a reservation please visit the registration page.
Recertification Credit & CLE Hours
IAAO professional designees can earn 13 hours of recertification credit. IAAO can apply for CLE accreditation for attendees seeking CLE credits. Due to significant variations in each state’s CLE rules and regulations, IAAO cannot guarantee that states will approve the seminar for CLE accreditation.
