IAAO has been working on the National Spatial Data Infrastructure survey with COGO, a national coalition of 13 member organizations and six advisory organizations spanning all aspects of the geospatial field. The survey will cover eight data set areas and respondents can select individual areas to answer. They may also forward the survey to others in their office to complete.
Survey Areas

  • Transportation
  • Cadastral
  • Elevation
  • Orthoimagery
  • Hydrography
  • Geodetic Control
  • Government Units
Every few years, COGO assesses the status of the NSDI, with the intent of helping the nation move toward a more complete NSDI. Providing up-to-date geospatial data and decision support tools to assist governments on funding allocations, day-to-day infrastructure decisions, and help in preparation and response to natural disasters and other emergencies.
