Disney wins back $1.2 million in property tax fight >
 
Walt Disney World has won a lawsuit against the Orange County Property Appraiser's Office. Disney sued the county office in 2016 over a dispute regarding the value of its Yacht and Beach Club Resort. Disney officials said the property was only valued at more than $188 million, but the OCPA valued the property at more than $336 million. A judge sided with Disney, meaning Orange County must refund the company $1.2 million in overpaid property taxes. Read more

Surge in cabin rentals in northern Minnesota sparks tax debate >

And should it be taxed more heavily? The Annual Conference Early Bird Registration period ends July 20 The early bird registration fee for the conference is $645 for members and $845 for nonmembers until July 20th. Fees then increase to $770 and $970. After Sept. 8 the fee is $895 for members and $1,095 for nonmember.
