Protecting data focus of upcoming webinar; part of Cybersecurity Awareness Month
How
to protect your organizations’ data will be the focus of the IAAO
webinar on Wednesday, Oct. 25. The cyber incident response team for the
El Paso Central Appraisal District in Texas will present a guide
addressing standards and insights on how to obtain the security needed
to protect your organization's data during the webinar.
The webinar, Protecting Your Organization's Data from Physical and Cyber Disasters,
is set for noon Central on Wednesday, Oct. 25 and will be presented by
Rodolfo Arvizo and David Martinez. It is eligible for 1.5 CEU hours and
the cost is $55 for IAAO members and $77 for nonmembers.
Since
2004, October has been declared Cybersecurity Awareness Month, a
dedicated month for the public and private sectors to work together to
raise awareness about the importance of cybersecurity.
This
is the 20th Cybersecurity Awareness Month and it has grown into a
collaborative effort between government and industry to enhance
cybersecurity awareness, encourage actions by the public to reduce
online risk and generated discussion on cyber threats on a national and
global scale.
