Serve As A Reviewer
The IAAO Communications Committee is looking for participants to serve on the IAAO Editorial Review Board. This is one of the easiest, and most interesting ways that you can participate in IAAO activities. Your participation will ensure that articles appearing in IAAO publications continue to be of the highest quality.
Volunteers that are accepted will be asked to review manuscripts and provide comments about suitability for use in IAAO publications. Reviewers can also make a recommendation to not publish an article. Editorial Review Board members are asked to review three to four manuscripts per year. Articles usually must be reviewed within three to four weeks. A blind referee process is used to conceal the identity of the reviewers and the author. Reviewers are allowed to contribute articles as well.
IAAO reviewers are encouraged to suggest article topics and recruit potential authors. You will become part of a network that drives the publication process and provide high quality article content that benefits all IAAO members.
Articles may appear in Journal of Property Tax Assessment and Administration (Assessment Journal) or Fair & Equitable magazine.
