FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS:
Question: When can I expect to receive my exam results?
Answer: Typically, scores are mailed to the participants within four to six weeks after the program. Exams are graded on a "first in" basis and there are some weeks that a significant number of IAAO classes take place across the nation. If after the four to six week time frame you have not received your results, you may call the IAAO to check status of processing.
Question: Can you tell me my results over the phone?
Answer: Professional Development Department policy is not to release scores over the phone or via email.
Question: I only failed by 2%, is it possible my exam was graded incorrectly?
Answer: All exam grading is done by a scantron machine which has been extremely accurate. IAAO stands behind the quality of their exam scoring process, but the option is available to request a manual re-grade. There is a processing fee of $50
Question: I did not pass the exam, how do I schedule a re-take exam?
Answer: A Special Exam Application should have been sent out with your results notification package. Complete the form in its entirety and return with payment to IAAO Professional Development Department.
Question: How do I find a proctor for my re-exam?
Answer: The proctor criteria are listed on page 1 of the Special Exam Application. Individuals with an IAAO designation are typically very willing to assist.
Question: When should I schedule my re-take exam?
Answer: You must wait at least 30 days after the initial test date to do a re-exam. Don’t wait too long as it needs to be completed within 12 months of the initial test date. IAAO staff requires at least 3 weeks from the time you mail your application to allow for processing.
