Massachusetts Chapter of IAAO
The Massachusetts chapter of the IAAO was formed in 1992 by a group of individuals seeking to bring a higher level of education to Massachusetts. The Chapter continues to offer several courses and forums during the year at various locations throughout the state. The Chapter has over 200 members from many of the New England states. Our taxing jurisdictions are comprised of cities and towns (not counties) and are relatively small. The Chapter annually awards two education scholarships and one sponsorship to the national IAAO conference. Boston was the site of the very successful IAAO 2004 conference. Massachusetts was the 2005 recipient of the Virginia Cup for the state with the most new designees.
