This month's cover story shares Maricopa County's experience integrating Predictive Model Markup Language (PMML) into mass appraisal. Their use of PMML in modeling with a CAMA system was a popular topic at the 2017 GIS/CAMA Technologies Conference and it will be discussed again at the 2017 IAAO Annual Conference. Speaking of conferences, this F&E also has recaps from the GIS/CAMA and World Bank conferences as well as recommendations from the Local Hosts in Vegas on where to eat and what to do around the Annual Conference.
In addition, you can find tips on improving accuracy and consistency in sales verification for modeling and other assessment functions and read about the recent expansion of the IAAO Library. The new Library space allows for an even larger collection plus work space for you when you visit our office.
While reading, don't forget to check out the latest issue of the Journal of Property Tax Assessment & Administration. Please email me if you have any questions about the Journal, F&E or the other electronic benefits and resources that are part of your membership.
